We use to make home made Spanish sardines but not in tomato sauce but in olive oil with thin slices of carrot and pickle and very hot chili problem is the gauge of our pressure cooker got busted and spare is no longer available, it does not taste as good with the ordinary gaugeless pressure cookers that we have. So you sell?

So, you cooked them and then you sell them? I usually cooked tuna with egg and onions. I usually pick the hot and spicy.

I want to try that spanish sardines in tomato sauce you made sis. I like sardines or mackerel in natural oil but I can only eat coming from the can sold in the grocery store. Yes I love home made but aside from I don't have time to cook, I really don't have a lot of knowledge about cooking.

@jaiho2009 Jorge says that they are grilled only. Soz about that. Loads of lemon juice and olive oil that is how they do it. Delicious I can tell you and I am very fussy about fish but have no problem eating that one because the taste is out of this World.

@LadyDuck I really wish to grow herbs but the weather here in the city doesn't allow the herbs to last long. Back in my hometown where the climate is cold all year round, we grow a lot of herbs. I love the taste of fresh herbs ;)

Yah, home cooked foods are always the best. Most of my recipes are from the scratch, I avoid using instant ingredients. I have loads of dried herbs for seasonings too.

our pressure cooker is no longer functioning properly, but when it was, my mother (+) would make sardines, the spicy ones) made of blackfin scad and the oil alone is already a viand for me.

Actually I prefer cooking sardines in an induction cookware rather than pressure cooker. Slow cooking tastes better than of pressurized one as per my customers comment and comparison.

@ridingbet You know my dear, I am sure this Sardines will tastes at its best if cooked in a clay pot and firewood. I really want to try it, and planning to do it on my next vacation back home in Baguio coz we have stocks of firewood used in our fireplace.

I think it is not common for us to see the sardines in the market. Usually they are made into the can of sardines with tomato sauce. It tastes good and I love it.
