What's in a cold shower?

It has been a bit cold in my country for the last few days but this has not stopped me from having my evening cold showers. I have always heard people say that bathing in hot water makes one grow old faster, thus cold water is the better option. Does hot water really has a negative impact on human skin, hence speeding up aging? Well, let's hear your say!

I know that very hot water dries the skin out. I shower in as hot as I can and then rinse in freezing cold.

I have been told and have read that cold water helps the skin and hair but I forget how it does. Hot water has its benefits as well though like the hot water is supposed to help with depression, stress, and anxiety. It also unclogs your pores so it can help with your skin if you have big pores or acne. It is also helpful if you have stiff or sore muscles or arthritis, helps with congestion when you are sick, and help with insomnia.

A lesson well learned. I haven't been a fan of hot water and this confirms my little knowledge about it. Great one!
