No Sim Card Emergency Calls Only.

Its been 24hrs now that my wife's galaxy tab 2 is showing up with no sim even though there is a new sim inserted in it. The only message it shows is No Sim Card Emergency Calls Only with a valid sim in it.
Searched the internet for a solution and there are hundreds you come across but nothing of that is making out for us.
It all started when she was in her office and the place she sits has a very low cellular network range.
She tried toggling between the networks from 2G to 3G hoping if she could get any signals, but nothing worked and the situation turned worse with the error No Sim Card Emergency Calls Only.
She had left her phone for a while tired of trying to get any signal and suddenly after a while the annoying message showed up, and is still there.
I tried all the tricks mentioned on the internet from restart to a new sim even to a complete hard reset made no difference at all.
I think have no choice left but to get it to the service center to get it diagnose, hope it does not cost much

I think that is your best bet - bringing the galaxy tab to the service center. Isn't it covered by a warranty?

@allen0187 Yeah that is my last hope but the warranty is long long gone for the tab, its already its 6th year going on
. So the service center might get if fixed but they will also fix my pockets as well

@nitirrbb7 so if the warranty doesn't cover it anymore, you have no choice but to pay for its repair. If that is the case, since you will be paying for it, might as well seek the best possible service center available.

@sabtraversa Yeah actually I am also a little disappointed that my wife is left with nothing to spend her time while traveling to office. I have offered her to use my iphone but she refused it because then I would have nothing.

@sabtraversa Yes it does very well in all other devices, even then I even got a new sim from the service provider and tried that also but the same story.

@Kandae11 Yeah that is some thing that even I tried even though tabs don't have back covers that open easily like mobile phones. I forced opened the back cover unscrewed the motherboard removed the battery and again assembled it all together but the problem persists. I am not sure we can afford a new one at this moment hope there is a solution that works out soon.
