What a Coincidence!!

It's so funny how things like this happen. Yesterday I read the "Golden Oldies" discussion by @Cat1993 , who considered 80s and 90s the "golden oldies." Of course, we all know that "golden oldies" are defined by age, so I commented that my "golden oldies" were along the lines of the Platters and Teresa Brewer (people who were very popular right before I was born). So today I'm in a mall, walking around for exercise (and it's much cooler in the mall than outside!). I'm walking toward the sporting goods store and what do I hear on the music playing in the mall? Teresa Brewer. One of my favorite songs of hers, too, "A Tear Fell." Perfect timing. Here's the incomparable Teresa Brewer:

Ugh. Music from the '80s and '90s are not golden oldies! I grew up in the '80s and '90s and I refuse to accept this! When I think golden oldies, I think of music from the '50s and '60s...and even further back than that! :p
