No, I have not lost my marbles...maybe a few but I have enough of them left to know it's July not December. With that said, QVC is having Christmas in July all month long...if you are into shopping and getting holiday bargains be sure to tune in. I also heard that Amazon Prime is having Prime Day I think it's July 12th with all kinds of specials and bargains. But since this is July 4th I will wish you all a safe and happy holiday!!! Photo is mine

I've noticed that more and more businesses seem to be having "Christmas in July" specials. How long will it be before we just celebrate the Christmas season all year long? haha

@moffittjc The pool was a little too refreshing - wind is cool, no sun. We should be in the 90's and lots of sun.

I sorta like it, it breaks things up a bit! Besides, I can just turn the TV off and go in the pool -

@AbbyGreenhill I certainly wouldn't mind celebrating Christmas all year long, but I associate the holiday with the cold, and it would certainly be tough celebrating Christmas in July when it's a 100 degrees outside! And now that you mentioned it, that pool sounds very welcoming and inviting! I may just have to go for a dip myself!

@AbbyGreenhill i knew it was a different house because your current one is all wood. it could probably be a collector's item. do you plan to buy any decorations?

@hereandthere What kind of decorations do you mean? If you are talking for Christmas I have enough decorations for 5 houses! Way way way too many.

Funny that you should bring up this topic because I tend to watch more Christmas movies in July than in December. I am usually too busy!

I get fed up with Lifetime since most of what they show are repeated a zillion times!

@AbbyGreenhill I will watch clothes. It is pretty interesting. Concerning Christmas in July. It gets me to thinking about how I like to shop in Christmas stores through out the year. There is a Christmas Shop in Pigeon Forge I like to look in.

I love QVC, HSN and Evine. If I bought gifts I would partake. Might watch it anyway. I tune in during the night when I can't sleep. They have great bargains at that time.

@AbbyGreenhill ......I used to watch them back a few years but don't recall the name. Maybe it was CVN. Cable has really evolved over the last twenty years.

Yay, Christmas in July!! Or, "we can't really wait until Black Friday to make money, so we'll invent a new shopping trend." Whatever, I actually like this, because it's less stressful than the Christmas rush....not to mention much warmer!

I am glad that nobody here has this weird idea of Christmas in July. Starting in September is bad enough, but at least let us spend the summer vacation without this.

@AbbyGreenhill I do not like to think to something that is so typical of a cold season when the temperature is in the 80's.

A nice photo, I love Christmas trees! July is a good month to start thinking about the gifts for the next Christmas and to write down a list. Usually, I start buying them in August and, since then, a bit every month. It's a great way to save money

It's okay. In a Catholic Country like my home Philippines, Christmas preparation is as early as September. It is a huge celebration that requires a lot of planning both materially and spiritually.

Christmas in July is a way for retailers to boost off-season sales and sell off last years inventory before the new Christmas season items start arriving from the factories. If you shop carefully you can find some great bargains and save mucho dinero over what you would have to spend come fall.
