The St. Louis Cardinals are interested in making a trade with the Toronto Blue Jays to acquire the services of their third baseman Josh Donaldson before the July 31 trade deadline. The Cardinals decided to release their third baseman Jhonny Peralta this baseball season after his performance on the diamond was not good enough to keep him on their roster. So far the Blue Jays have not had any talks with the Cardinals to trade Donaldson to the Cardinals for some minor league prospects at this time before the July 31, 2017 baseball trade deadline.

There will be some players let go. Business decisions in sports and elsewhere. Unfortunate events of course.

That is the sobering fact of being a sports fan of your favorite team that your favorite player will leave the team to another team due to age or the salary cap problem.

That would be an interesting turn of events. The Cards and Jays are out of it thus far this season.

That is true since maybe the Blue Jays might to get rid of some of their free agents to be when the trade deadline comes.
