Seriously? Leave me alone

The alarm went off at 4:30am this morning for my husband. He has to catch a 7am train down to D.C. I waited until he was finished with his shower and then I finally got up just for a minute to use the bathroom. Since then my orange cat thinks that I am "up" despite the fact that I immediately got back in bed. He has jumped up onto the bed, landing directly on me, no fewer than 10 times. He has been meowing in my face. He has smacked at my head. This is ridiculous! I just want to go back to sleep!

Your cat thinks when you got up it is time for him to eat. When I want to go to sleep and I let my cat in the room she likes to pounce on my head and bite me. Can you just put the cat out of the room and close the door?

You can give your cat food. Then close the door so your cat can't come in and you will be able to sleep again.

Oh no. Locking him out would only make him worse.

Awe and he is ready to play. Hopefully he will take a hint that you are not ready to get up. He is a beautiful cat , the exact kind that I think are the cutest cats.
