Thank you for your reply. I insist on memorizing the words every day. First, I will improve my vocabulary. I also read simple English novels every day, practicing grammar and logical thinking.

My English improved by writing. All I was reading was the dictionary. The first times I only knew one verb tense (simple present), with time at school I learned more. You can search for grammar rules and exercises, but what makes you master a language is vocabulary and syntax. Read, write, listen, speak. I was into music, so I learned a lot through song lyrics, but if you're into movies, you can also listen to the advice of watching English native movies with subtitles.

Now plan to learn new concept English every morning, recite words in the evening, and read English novels in spare time during the day.

Watch English language movies and repeat out loud what you hear.

I particularly like the American accent, so often to imitate, but the daily life is almost used in Chinese, so English speaking ability is not good

MyLot was something I was going to suggest. When you read well written posts you see how the language comes together. You also meet a lot of people who are just beginning to learn.

If you're interested in dramas, Viki has added a language learning feature to many of their videos. Although the best way is to actively speak with others who already know English. Immerse yourself into the culture as well because that is also a huge part of understanding a language.

Some people watch things on TV with subtitles and they learn that way. Getting books that teach you English. You can go online if you have a computer or laptop and look for a program that you can teach yourself.

Immerse yourself in it; watch tv, movies, listen to the radio, read all the time. Is there a group you could join with others who also want to learn English? Just keep learning all the time - you'll get there. Good luck!

@cancergirl Here in Canada we have meet-up groups where people get together socially or to improve their language skills. I am trying to learn French and so | am thinking of trying to find a group where I can practice some french with others. Are there groups like this where you live?
