How to tell you're not in the city / myLot

Trying to stay awake, driving the morning commute, busy highway. Looked over at a white pickup. Two teens, girl and boy, sat in the pick up's bed, holding animals to them, to keep them safe. I looked again. Oh. Adorable and huh?? The teens had hold of haltered sheep! Yes, the girl had firm hold of a white woolly body and the boy had hold of a white and brown body, the sheep acting calm. Still, it stopped me for a moment. I hope all four of them made it to their destination in fine shape.

It scares me to see any animal or person in the back of a pickup, all it takes is for the pickup to hit a bump and as the bodies jump up the truck keeps moving and then those bodies come down onto the pavement.

I have a little prayer I say for those people who are so inconsiderate @sallypup may they end up in the same circumstance they put another life in.

@rebelann There was another pickup on the road near by that I did not mention.....the sight that makes my blood boil. No tailgate on the truck. One of those tool box gizmos that are the width of the truck and yup, an orange dog up on top of that tool box. Double cab pick up so the dog could have/should have fit inside where it was safe. Curses from me as we drove.

It was definitely a wake up call coming from Chicago to the outskirts of Winnipeg. We actually saw our first Shetland pony. Had no idea that they were soooo tiny!

Really @Hate2Iron? You'd never seen a Shetland? Some are barely bigger than a good sized dog and some are taller. That must have been fun for you.

@Hate2Iron Some are sweet and some are rascals. What color were they or did you see a bunch? I like the little black and white or red and white ponies the most. They look like circus animals.
