I found out the night before Thnkgiving that I am roughly 4 weeks pregnant. I had an idea I was because I've been sick to my stomach & was praying it was the flu. I have a son (14months old) and a daughter (4 months old) and although I already love this baby I am worried that with my pregnancies so close together this baby might suffer problems due to me not having had time to recover between pregnancies, What I need help with though is that I was diagnosed with an exteme form of morning sickness my last time around (called hyperemesis). I was so sick I ended up losing about 20 pounds. When the nausea started it was mainly dry heaves b/c food had no appeal. But since I know I'm pregnant I've been eating real food. The bathroom is my bestfriend again. And my throat & stomach ache from what refuses to stay down. AND TUESDAY I AM GOING BACK TO WORK!!!!!!!! Does any BTDT parent have any suggestions to ease the nausea & discomfort. With it having been Thankgiving eve when I found out for sure I won't be able to schedule a dr visit until Monday.

Try warm Jello water. Take your favorite flavor and put a large tablespoon full in a cup of warm water. Drink it and it will coat your stomach a bit. I used this when I was undergoing Chemotherapy and it worked very well. Good Luck, think positive thoughts, try not to stress and take care of yourself. Make sure next time you practice some birth control and give yourself a bit of a break.

I hate it when people comment about birth control. I have seven kids...and guess what...I used birth control too! After the last baby, they put me on a pill that was so strong, my hair was faling out! So my partner got snipped. People think before you tell someone to use birth control. It can really be offensive to those that do use it and get pregnant anyways.

I was on the Depot shot when I got pregnant with Jeremiah. I was shocked when the doctor told me I was pregnant. I kept asking if he was for sure, and that I wanted to take another test.

I don't think I had the case of sickness that you do, but when I had morning sickness I drank organic ginger tea. Man, this stuff was great. Talk to your doctor first before drinking the tea. I have heard that peppermint tea is good also. I wish the best of luck to you!

wow sounds like that morning sickness is really doing you in. I didn't have it that bad but a cousin of mine did. I will try to get ahold of her hard to catch up with self and find out what she did. Then i will get back with you. Good luck but always remember everything will be just fine. you may be miserable now but when that baby comes you will be overcomed with joy and tears of happiness

i did the normal club soda (well i drank sprite because it tasted better) and soda crakers. those worked for me. do you have someone helping you with the children?? you shouldn't worry about the children being too close together. i've heard of people getting pregnant again this early as well. they'll just be close to age. i would also talk about the sickness with the doctor, maybe there's something they can give you to help.

Hi there, I too have babies less than a year apart and it does put a damper on things, I had pre eclampcia with all 3 of my kids. I found the only thing that helped my sickness was plenty of rest and papaya. Papaya has a natural anti gas enzime that can get rid of just about any kind of belly ache you can inmagine. My youngest is one now and I am feeling much better. It is a chalenge having 3 young ones but I try too look at the bright side, They will all be in school in the next 2 years then I will have some time to myself ! I certainly pray that you get the relief most women get after the first 3 months when the sickness goes away but I know that doesnt always happen, it didnt for me. Good luck !!!

my wife had the same problem. i tease her that she starting getting sick three days BEFORE she got pregnant. it wasn't morning, it was morning, midmorning, noon, midafternoon, evening and so on and so forth. through the entire pregnancy. she would get nauseous from toothpaste, from water, from everything, and also ended up losing about 20 pounds. It was a very difficult pregnancy. She actually found that sucking on jolly ranchers helped alleviate some of it, but really there wasn't a lot she could do. She lived on spaghetti o's, jolly ranchers, and macaroni and cheese. that's about all she could keep down. I feel for you that you're going through that also. But the only thing she could suggest was some sort of hard candy you can suck on that might help calm your stomache.

Oh wow..I told my hubby the other day, that if we got preggers any time soon, I would just cry (we have a 2 year old and a 4 month old and I think they were too close together.. although they were both planned) I too suffered from alot of morning sickness. Nothing really worked all that great for me...I know with my first one though, as long as I was sucking on a jolly rancher or something I could keep the puking to a minimum...although it wouldn't prevent it. And I always kept a granola bar in my pocket at work, and munched on it all day long. When someone told me that we had a no eating on the job policy, I asked them about thier puking on the floor in front of customers policy, and they didn't say anything else. Good luck and Congrats!!!

This might be a little late but things that helped me.. because I too was super sick the first 6 and last 2 months. Gingerale, or ginger snaps/ and also these things called Preggie pops taht you can find at Motherhood maternity. those helped tremendously. good luck.
