More often than not, when serial killers are the topic people will name John Wayne Gacy, Jefferey Dahmer, Aileen Wuornos and David Berkowitz [Son of Sam] Richard Ramirez [Night Stalker] but there are a lot more that deserve a mention. Not to give them a nod of approval but rather to shine a light on the subject as well as details of how different killers honed their skills. The series “Inside The Mind of A Serial Killer” didn't last long; just one season but ten episodes. Each is done in a chapter format so you can jump to different sections. The ten that are covered include: Eddie Leonski, Angus Sinclair, Anders Breivik, Surinder Koli, Mark Rust, Stephen Griffiths, Joanna Dennehy, Israel Keys, Anthony Sowell and the husband and wife team of Monique Olivier and Michel Fourniret. If none of those names ring a bell you aren't alone. Once I watched the episodes I recognized their modus operandi. Its a shame that there was only one season [ten episodes] because the subject matter is timeless. Each chapter covers the lifespan [or what is known of it] the life and death of the individual, comparisons to other serial killers, the things that set them off and other oddities. Each chapter runs for about 40 to 44 minutes; there are no commercials so you are watching the footage without breaks. All of the features have real life footage from police, interviews with neighbors and details that were never released when the cases were active. This can be viewed on a two CD set or on Netflix as individual featurettes. Image: gorakhnathmunde.blogspot.co.uk
