Husband might be going to Seattle this week

His new job has him traveling a lot and he loves it. This week he might be headed to Washington state. He will find out tomorrow if he has to go and, if he does, will then fly out on Tuesday. I wouldn't do well with that type of spur-of-the-moment travel plan but he is great with it. More power to him.

Sounds like an exciting job to me. You don't mind being left behind?

Nope. It has been that way for pretty much all of our 14 year relationship. Very long hours for him and I get done with work at 2pm each day. . . so I'm used to lots of time by myself. plus I'm pretty independent. We also don't have children (by choice) so it really just me and the cats (5) and our parrot. I've learned to fill the spare time on my own. Whether he is at his regular job in the next state over or in another state or even out of the country doesn't matter much when you don't see your husband much other than rolling over in your sleep and as you are getting dressed in the dark. It isn't always like that, of course, but it is often enough. Like I said, I'm independent so I do well enough on my own and appreciate the time that I *do* get to spend with him.

Thats good for him. Lots of people want jobs like that. So they can travel and see the world while being paid.

He likes it a lot. It works for us as we don't have kids.

Some people enjoy traveling with their job and some don't. For me i would love to travel as its a different change of scenery and you see other people. But for my job there is no traveling so i'm stuck at the same spot daily.
