Should Have Set a target!

I should have set myself a target. Since April I've been trying to build up the miles cycled as I plan to do a bit of cycle touring. So far I am just over 500 miles, should have gone for 1000 for the year.
Out and about along the canal, I spotted some young ladies doing a cycle tour. Unusually, they were using cargo bikes. These bikes can carry a lot, but with the confines of the canal path, can be a bit tricky; like on these steps by one of the bridges, even with a ramp for wheels.
I decided it was officially a hot day, as horses from the farm alongside the canal had made a path to the water and were enjoying a bit of a cooling down.

The horses are lovely getting a drink there.
Oh yes cargo bikes a bit massive and bulky for the bike path.
You know @teamfreak16 on here is cycling and setting targets too and is even moving up on bikejournal.com
Do you go on that site?

@Tampa_girl7 After I got a touch of sunburn the other week, I've been slathering it on!

I've gotten a late start, but I'm still trying to hit a thousand miles.

@Ronrybs Nothing wrong with taking time to heal up. Back pain is so cruel. And you still got time. :-)

At least you have got somewhere.
I watch a lot of the Tour of France at the moment when I can and will also see the Tour of Spain.
Chris Froome is doing well and so is his helper too.
Keep going and great images.

@Ronrybs
I can bet there is a hill like that as well.
What about in Wales all those slopes?
Keep going Ron well done.

I couldn't do something as single minded as the TdF, but I am sure I get the same feeling when I crest a little hill as they do in those mountains. In fact, I am sure there is a hill outside Old Windsor that is near vertical and would give those fit riders a run for the money. I haven't yet managed to get to the top without pushing!

The horses seem to be lining up for their turn in the water.

Well, it all sounds so wonderful to me! Regardless of a target, you're seeing so much!
