Do the Bunny Hop...hop hop hop

United States
July 13, 2017 5:38pm CST
I was sitting and relaxing when out of the corner of my eye I saw something move. Of course I had to get up and check it out. Seems the little guy was out for his evening jaunt. He was there quite a while, just chillin', and I had time to get my camera. I was just about to invite him in for Carrot Cake when something spooked him and he scurried away. He will be back...he has been out there the last few evenings, but this was the closest he got to the house. Photo is mine

In the back a month or so ago we had a real tiny one, about the size of my hand. He was so cute!

We have come big ones, but they say far away - lke on the edge of the tree line so they can run for cover...this little guy doesn't get it quite yet.

Lovely, I like those little bunnies, it's a shame there are no wild bunnies here.

@Marty1 We do not have wild bunnies, but people grow bunnies. We have a lot of wildlife, deer, wolves, foxes, bears, wild boars, donkeys, wild horses, ferrets, hawks and falcons.

@Marty1 Hunting is legal. My husband hunted most of his life. Since we moved south he feeds the deer and they are only shot with my camera.

It was an unlooked-for "guest".His hole must be close to your house.

Oh that is a sweet picture to be the first thing I saw after a break from Mylot! (I have just been busy.) How lovely to get a view of Mr or Mrs Rabbit. I do hope he comes back and we get more pictures.

Thanks, we don't have as many as we used to. The man who owned the property next to us sold off a few tracts and one new home and lots of clearing and I think many of the bunnies have moved on since a lot of habitat is now gone.

We have several, a few years ago we had a few dozen in the yard all the time. There are less now - the hawks get them.
