My brother in law had lend his car to one of his neighbors who had planned a short trip out of town. But on their way back home they met with an horrifying road accident in which luckily no one was injured but the car has faced damages that are beyond repair. The car is left with no choice but to be scraped and even if tried to get it fixed its going to cost so much that buying a new car would be a better alternative. The picture does not show all the damage the car has actually faced, the car had some emotional memories attached to the family and seeing it that way has completely broken the entire family. Anyways now this incident will always make me think twice if anybody asks me for my car. Image Credit:- My Own.

That's terrible that happened. I'm glad nobody was hurt. Was there insurance on the car so your brother-in-law would be able to get a new car?

@just4him Alas, the car was a used car and he said used car's don't get insurance claims. Anyways there weren't any human casualties in the accident or the situation would have worsen.

But I suppose it is insured and can be replaced by the insurance company? Did the one who borrowed it owe up to its damages?

@SIMPLYD It was already a used car when brought and used cars are not covered under insurance, and the ones responsible are making financial excuses. Any ways the car is scraped for pennies, its history now.

I always made it a point to never let anyone borrow my car. If the person had to get somewhere I would drive them but it is only recently and my car is 12 years old that I let my daughter when she flew down to visit me and had no car.

@ramapo17 Even my wife is the same, she does not even give me the car which I gifted her on her Birthday. I think the husband should be spared like you had for your daughter no matter even if its for once in a life time.

@vsai2008 Yeah on one side it was satisfactory that no human casualties but what about the car its a peace of junk now good for nothing. He had brought it for his dad when his dad was facing last stage cancer so that he can enjoy a ride with him. Now all those memories gone with the car.

@vsai2008 Just making excuses that they would be selling one of their ornament to repay the loss, but do you really thing they would? If they would have to they wont have mentioned how they are repaying for the loss it was just a statement to gather some sympathy so that my brother in law refuses, but thank god it dint.

@gauti2483 Yes very much but what's the use crying on spilled milk now, only if he had refused to lend it but some people are very generous and their generosity pays back this way.

Oh God! It was a terrible accident, but grace was not harmed by anyone. The condition of the car is very bad, the person must compensate for it

@kavinitu Yes God's grace that no harm done, yes certainly that person should pay for the damages done.
