Free agent and former Chicago Bulls point guard Rajon Rondo has landed on his feet on Sunday reaching a one year contract agreement with the New Orleans Pelicans. Rondo was released at the end of the 2016-17 basketballs season as a cost cutting measure as the Bulls will be in a rebuilding mode next basketball season. Rondo will be reuniting with Pelicans center DeMarcus Cousins during the 2017-18 basketball season which was one reason he decided to take his basketball talents to New Orleans where the Pelicans are second banana to the New Orleans Saints for the sports fan base in the Crescent City.

Good signing for the Pelicans since this reunites Rondo with Cousins and gives the Pelicans a chance to have Rondo at point and move Holiday to the shooting guard position.

@Deepizzaguy not sure if that played a part in the negotiations but basketball-wise, Rondo should be a good fit for the Pelicans.

He might be a good gamble to fit with Cousins and Davis.
