Day 313 Proverbs 29:13 Proverbs 29:13 The poor and the deceitful man meet together: the LORD lightens both their eyes. You meet many people every day. Usually you don’t know their financial status. However, you always deal with people in work and recreational venues, even when shopping. You hope the person you’re dealing with is honest, but you know not everyone is. Solomon knew that no matter what the status of people, God still watched over them. As Christians, you know there will always be dishonest people. It is with discernment from the Holy Spirit that you deal with people of integrity, rich or poor. Jesus also said we are to love everyone because he sends his rain and sun on the just and unjust. It would be a strange world if you saw rain falling on one home but not another, or the sun shining in one place but not another. Mt 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he makes his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. Jesus told a parable about wheat and tares and how God would take care of the tares at the judgment, not before. Matthew 13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? From whence then hath it tares? 28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. God will take care of the deceitful people of this world. It isn’t your job to exact justice on them. Your job is to pray for them and treat them with integrity. Let’s pray: Father, help me discern those who deal deceitfully and pray for them, but let you take care of them. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. Yes it is, that's why we need to pray often.

I came across some of those dishonest people unfortunately. They never keep their promises.

No we don't. We can only pray for integrity in our business dealings.
