It's Done...

Mom has moved into her new nursing home last week, but there is no phone hook up for her as of yet, so I haven't been able to talk to her. I can only hope that she likes it there but I have a feeling that it's not going to be the case. It shouldn't be too much longer before I can pick up with our daily calls, but I have this feeling in the pit of my stomach. I oh so hope that I'm wrong and she is loving it there! When she was released from the hospital, she stated in no uncertain terms that she wasn't leaving the nursing home where she was presently living. Unfortunately, she needs more than they could provide, so we knew the time was coming. I'm keeping fingers crossed... I would feel so bad if she is unhappy there. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about it and this one is even further away!

I hope she likes it. Going through something like this with my aunt. She is unhappy about the place she is going, but at least she can stay on the waiting list for another place, she prefers.

I hope your mother is happy in her new nursing home. It can be really hard when elderly people need to relocate.

It is such a hard decision but we can only do what we believe is the right thing. I hope your Mom is able to adjust to the change. Change is always difficult at first even for people not facing your Mom's situation. Just wanted to respond and wish you and your Mom nothing but the best!
