Gave the redhead a shower

She doesn't like them which makes no sense. Don't parrots get rained on in the wild? Normally I take the shower head and really hose her down well all over but for some reason it wasn't working so I had to just rely on the regular shower and let it get her wet from above.
Some parrots love it and will shake all over, extend their wings, and really enjoy their shower. Not Scarlett. She just hunkers down and waits for the deluge to be over. You'd think that I was torturing her.
Now she is on her rope perch in the kitchen with me looking like a wet red-headed chicken. She is NOT amused!

Can you imagine husband doing this? I bet she would bite the living heck out of him.

Yeah that is weird as I'm pretty sure they do get rained on in the wild. Maybe some parrots are accustomed to rain and some our not.

She is a good girl. She just doesn't like her showers. Right now she just keeps saying "hello" to me from her perch which is saying something. She is a closet talker and usually doesn't say anything to people when she is right in front of them.
