England's Chris Froome won his fourth Tour de France championship as the race ended today in Paris. Froome finished 56 seconds ahead of second place Rigoberto Uran. Australian Michael Matthews won the Green Jersey points competition, while Frenchman Warren Barguil won the Polka Dot King of the Mountains competition. Britain's Simon Yates won the Best Young Rider White Jersey competition, a feat his twin brother, Adam, has also accomplished. Congratulations to not only the winners, but to every rider that finished the three week, 3540 kilometer race. Chapeau, as the French say. Chapeau!
Chris Froome came third in the time trial stage, the penultimate stage of the 2017 Tour de France, but extended his overall lead to 54 seconds, all but guara...

I hate to think this, but after the Armstrong fiasco...is Froome considered "clean" or is there any suspicion of him using illegal enhancement? Congrats to them all. I'm lucky if I can bike a mile anymore.

Oh, there is suspicion, alright. He's winning in the exact same way that Lance did. Except he's boring. Lance, Marco Pantani, Bjarne Riis, all were fun to watch. Froome, not so much.

@teamfreak16 I see Scott. Was this the guy you wanted to win was Chris or did you favor someone else?

The guy I was rooting for finished somewhere around six minutes back.

They must all be SO tough. Having driven up a couple of the 'cols' they use, I can appreciate how hard it must be.

@teamfreak16 Check out Bill Roycroft, a member of the Aussie 3-day event team (equestrian) at the 1960 Rome Olympics. He fell in the cross-country section receiving a broken shoulder, dislocated collarbone, and concussion. He managed to completedthe cross-country section and was then airlifted to hospital. They team needed him to ride the next day and he booked himself out of hospital and by completing the show-jumping section, allowed Australia to win the gold medal. I don't think he was a 'doper' in the strict sense of the term but I guess he was filled with a few pain-killers.

A cyclist named Tyler Hamilton once broke his collarbone on the second stage. Never mind that he was a doper, he rode the entire rest of the Tour with a broken collarbone. That's insane.

If he wins one more he's right up there with Merckx, Hinault, Indurain, and Anquetil. And he's got one more than LeMond.
