I didn't share you this but when my connection was out I finally had time to cut our big moringa tree branch two weeks ago. I was happy because there's more than a dozen seeds I can plant for this season. I've planted a couple of them and most died after a couple of days. Since Mom took our neighbor's soil, I've decided to plant small branches of moringa again. I tried it last year and it failed because of our crowded soil with infestation. So, I did it again weeks ago with the new soil. In case they didn't they would serve as support as for the other moringa who grew from seeds. As you can see in the picture, they've grown unexpectedly. I might harvest a few moringa leaves again on the big tree for my soup... The reason why I kept planting it because I've grown tired of climbing from the tree even though it grows faster since it's old.

Hello @Sreekala I've research extensively on this plant and I strongly agree with you that this was indeed a medical plant. And I am blessed to having this plant for decades. Glad we didn't get rid of this.

we used to have several and people asking for the leaves. malunggay is easy to plant and grow, just stick it in the soil, so i wonder why they can't do it at home.

I have trouble growing cutters because of the insect problem we have here and the lack of time taking care of it before. Not to mention I planted it back in summer which was a mistake. I think they just didn't know how @hereandthere maybe you can try to educate them. You know give them seeds if you let the pods go dry. maybe they don't have soil or pot for it.. I only cook the moringa either through omlette or soup @cacay1

Moringa is very nutritious.I used to boil fresh leaves from our own tree.Unfortunately mom had them cut down because of termite infestation :(

Only because of termite infestion? we got tons of termite infestation here ourselves but that't not really a good excuse to cut the tree @Iam_jauntyjen specially when you know how nutritious it is. You should have replanted it before cutting it down.

On a blender, Blend some spicy chili pepper with water and use that as pesticide to get rid of some insects. There is a way to stop trees from growing, Try to research pruning. My family's mango farm have 6 feet tall trees because of pruning, no need for climbing.

At home, we have three grown Moringa (malunggay) ( kalamunggay) . Last Sunday, I tried to cook this veg with fresh fish and only me liked to eat what I cooked hehe hehe. I have not eaten this veggie for many months now. What I observed after eating moringa leaves, I kept on going to the toilet to drain myself. It has cleansing power. I plan to cook again tomorrow morning as my breakfast to mix it with some chops of beef, plus different spices hehehe. Again, only me to eat what I would cook tomorrow.

Hello @cacay1 Based on my research it has extremely high fiber that if you add it with fruits for a shake, it would help detoxify your body in no time. It has tons of Vitamin A and it's just nice for its easy for them to grow.

Good to know that your labor bore a fruit, or more appropriately a plant in your case. Take care of it. There's nothing more fulfilling than doing what one loves to do. (*_*)
