I Need Some More Time

I Need Some More Time Some of you may have read about my BIG MESS in my living room. I’m cleaning out my “home office” which I have been working at for several months now. Thursday my great grandson came over and helped me carry several boxes downstairs to my living room where he had set up two folding tables for me. I had hoped to have everything sorted and my living back in order by Sunday night, but I didn’t quite make it. In fact, I will probably be working on that room for another week. It was much more difficult than I thought it would be and the worst part, is that my back gave out on me and slowed me down. I really did make a LOT of progress, and I’m going to the chiropractor this afternoon, so hopefully I can get it all done by the end of this week. I’m sorting things out for a Yard Sale that my granddaughter is planning for August and I’m also organizing things that I want to keep from what I want to get rid of. I’ve organized almost all of my photos and my poems and I’m still working on my Ancestry and my memoirs. I also put all of my postcards from Postcrossing.com into notebooks and all of my Coloring pages into another notebook, too. I’ve completely cleaned out the pantry downstairs and got rid of out of date cans of food, and I’ve also cleaned out most of the closet in the room upstairs, so that I can put back ONLY the things that I want to keep. Next, I will be cleaning out all the clothes that I can no longer wear, since I have lost 50 pounds. The whole house is in a sad state right now, but once I get all this done, I can relax and know that everything is organized. During the 38 years that I was running a business out of my home, things really piled up around me and I always felt so unorganized, not having the time to really keep up with everything. Now, I can finally see the “light at the end of the tunnel.” After this week, I should be where I want to be and know where everything is. That’s one of the things that has been amazing to me. I have found things that I kept for sentimental value, some letters and photographs that have brought me great joy. And I’ve found a lot of my poetry that I had saved and so many other things. This has been very exciting for me and I’m so glad that I have decided to do this, before I die. I’m organizing everything around me so that my children will have an easier time of it. I still have a lot to do, but I do feel that I can get most of it done this week. I just didn’t think that it was going to be so time consuming. Just sorting through all this stuff that has accumulated over the years has been amazing. I’m so happy that I have been able to make some progress. My great grandson hopefully can come back this week and help me put some things back up on the shelves in the closet. Everything will be in plastic containers and labeled so that there will be no searching for things ever again. I have containers for everything that I’m keeping, for whatever reason. Let me get started today.

I can relate with what you are going through. I am doing a fund raising sale and my tiny place is a mess. I feel that it will be taken care of in time so I don't fret about my place being overloaded. Good luck on your sale.

I just want to get it done and over with. My great grandson is coming Tuesday evening and spending the night so we can get an early start on Wednesday. I think we will be able to get a lot done.
