My Poor Prince

Have you ever had a cat pee on your bed when they've never done something like that before? Sure sometimes it might be because you ticked them off for some reason, but it could also be a sign of a medical problem. I noticed he was drinking a lot more water and of course he was still using the litter box too but it was a massive amount of liquid. So I took him to the vet and he has a massive Bladder infection. They also checked his Glucose levels as that can also be a sign of Diabetes. He had blood in his urine and his sugar level was high. She gave me an antimicrobial liquid (antibiotic) to give him for 10 days. She did want me to bring him in this morning for another glucose test but I told her that since giving him the med, his water drinking has decreased and so has the litter box visits. At the end of 10 days I will take Prince back for a glucose test just to make sure that he doesn't have the Diabetes too. If he does, I don't know what I'll do as the cost for Insulin isn't cheap. Plus the fact that an animal can go blind if Diabetes isn't corrected quickly.

I'm sorry to hear that, hope the issue sorted out soon. Diabetes is a very deadly disease and getting viral

Me too @dollaboy . So much garbage in the foods that both animals and humans eat any more.

@dollaboy You got that right. I think it's their way of population control.

@nanette64 My grandmother used to say "does worry help to solve the problems? If not there is no reason to worry".

Me too @TiarasOceanView . I might be able to buy it on line for a cheaper price; I hope if that's the case.

I'm not sure @amadeo but we'll have to see. The antibiotic and the tests plus the office visit was $120.

I've never thought of diabetes in animals. But why shouldn't they have it, too? I've read about deer getting cancer.

Since most animals have the same organs a human does, they can get just about anything @MALUSE .
