It's All About Time

I'm hoping that after tomorrow is over, I will begin to have more time to come here and keep up with all of you. I really miss being here on a more regular basis. But my life has been a little on the crazy side and tomorrow I begin a week of being home, and two days of having company. My kitten, Timothy, is finally coming to his forever home tomorrow. By the time they called me today to let me know I could go and get him, it was too late for me to get a ride. My niece offered to go and get him for me, but I said no for two reasons: 1. She's been in tons of pain the last few days with her prosthetic leg. No telling what the problem is this time, but I'm very worried about her. She had to go into work today to see her patients at the hospital, and when she called me about the kitten, she was saying how she couldn't wait to get home and take that leg off to get some relief. I wasn't about to add to her problems. 2. She would have paid for Timothy for me (and would not have accepted the money back from me). She loves spoiling me like that. She's done a bit of it lately and while it's been a huge surprise and wonderful for my dwindling bank account, I don't feel right about it. She can spoil Timothy down the road, but I think I should pay for my own kitten. But boy, oh boy, do I love her for offering! It's only one more day and it gave me time to really get the bedroom ready for this little dynamo! There are places for him to climb and sit in the window (if he's not afraid being 13 floors up!). There's the big bed for him to sleep on, once he realizes I'm no threat to him! And lots of toys! I have my rocking chair in there to sit and read (if he's not sleeping there!), and I'll be bringing the computer in there so I can be online while being in the room with him. This is going to mean a lot less TV (no problem there!) and a lot more love! I am SO ready for this! So here's to beginning a new chapter of my life, giving Timothy a place to call home and looking forward to new kitty snuggles! Claudia
