Saturday night was for music and wine with a view

Some of our favorite musicians were playing at a local winery about 12 miles out of town, so we decided to head out that way and enjoy the warm summer evening.
Gus, on piano, played at our wedding party, Laurie, the singer is a third grade teacher and one of the best I have heard. Jim, the drummer is always on time.
Music was from 5 to 8 PM, so we got there before 5 to find the place packed. It is a popular place for wedding parties, reunions other gatherings. We found a place far from the music, kept watch as the large parties broke and in two moves, we had great seats by 6 PM.
Anne had packed a picnic, so we ate and drank some nice chilled Pinot Gris.
It was a great evening, even ran into some former co-workers I had not seen since I retired from my full-time job several years ago.

Sounds like you had an amazing time. I am a huge fan of local wineries, and they always provide an excellent backdrop for events, parties and festivals.

@JamesHxstatic Wow, 300 is quite a lot! That would be fun to tour every one of them! I don't know how many there are in Florida, but they seem to be popping up everywhere now. I know that we have five just here in Gainesville.

@JamesHxstatic North Florida mostly, probably not much farther south than Orlando. The southeastern states can grow muscadine grapes, which are native to the area.

We have over 300 now in Oregon, several local and many have music on weekends, so there is always something good.
