I took my usual walk in the neighborhood today.

I noticed that one man that usually passes by each day, has been missing for several days. I stopped his brother to ask where he brother has been, and he says he woke up with his face swollen, went to the hospital and had brain surgery. I couldn't believe it.. just reminds me each day is a blessing , because you don't know what tomorrow will bring. This man is about 73 years old, a few years ago he had an aneurysm.

I was shocked to hear the news, I see him quite often , while I walk the dog. He always stops to talk for a second or two.

My pleasure. I would want to know if I saw someone all the time and then didn't I would want to know how they are doing. Have you see his brother since and has he told you how he is?

@TheHorse he is home, has to wear a helmet, has an iv hooked up to him which his brother, will be injecting medication. He won't be walking around any time soon.. His house has a lot of steps to climb to get in, so to go to dr. appointments, will be hard . It is old house with small steps that has a winding stair case, to get in there. I didn't see the brother today , but I imagine he is in some pain.

I hope he is okay. I think you are very kind to care so much about what happened to him. Hopefully, he will be back to walking when he gets better soon. That is good if he is 73 he has somebody as kind as you looking out for his welfare as one day his brother may not know he is in distress or does the man live with his brother? if not he could be in distress and alerting his brother might save his life

it is a split house he lives in the top half the man shares with his 90 year old mother, Below unit the brother lives with his girlfriend.. he came home today, and has to keep a helmet on and has an iv, which his brother has to inject medication for him. I understand he will not be walking alone for a long, long time.

That is terrible. It sounds like the man does not have good health. I hope the brain surgery helps him. You are right we have to be happy when we wake up in the morning and can get up and walk around.
