Why is it that when I (or anyone really) voice an opinion r speak honestly in response to something they are considered rude or mean?
I've been thinking about this for a couple of days now ever since someone pointed out that I was rude because I stated honestly what I would do in said someone's place. Now I've asked a couple people if my response was in fact rude or mean. They assured me it wasn't , that it was just honest.
One of my friends and I talked about it and have decided that one of the reasons that people don't like when you are honest and tell them the opinion you have is because they don't like being wrong.
Thoughts? Has your honesty been taken as you being mean?

People want to know what others think, but then do not want to hear your opinion.
Happens all the time April doesn't it?
Sometimes I don't bother saying anything as I know it is not what they are going to want to hear.

I agree I just wish people would gt over themselves and stop getting offended over things because they don't like it lol but I suppose that is never going to happen.

Your friend is right. Some people just don't like hearing the truth when they know your right and their wrong. They think their right about everything when in reality their not but they won't come forward and admit it. For me I like to be very blunt and open and tell things how it is and what i feel. I try not to be rude in my responses etc on the internet but sometimes i may come across it and not mean it.

@Courtlynn Just shrub it off your shoulder and move on. Obviously this person has a different way of seeing things and arguing with them is not going to get anywhere.

I do not care what people think of me and I never have, I have only blocked one person because she called me names because I believe in God and I have been called names as well because I like my President, but because believe in God and I like trump I am always wrong.
Others sometimes wants to just argue with me because they really do not like me and they are always right too, Nothing I say is ever right.
I have learned some people are not ..... Normal? so I just be polite and move on.
But you mean? Naaa, I have not seen anything you have written as mean.
