A Silly Question: “Are you addicted to something?”

It has been a long day for me today. I was loaded with 21 students online. Most of them are kiddies and can’t imagine how I deal with them.lol I am sure some of you know that I do mylotting in between classes. The main reason is to feel alive and not to feel bored. While having a class with my online student, we are learning an adjective word “addicted.” It seems he can’t get the real meaning of it.
A simple question does the trick: “Are you addicted to something?” He answered me with full confidence: “I am addicted to playing computer games.”
At the back of my mind, I was thinking that he will reply in a more sensible way like “I am addicted to studying the English language.”
The mere fact, “I am addicted to mylotting.”
“How about you, guys?”
“Do you feel the same addiction?”

I have answered this question many times on mylot and my answer is same again, yes I am addicted to reading and playing.

I eat a lot. I love foods. That's my addiction. I tried to control it because I'm not getting any younger but it's not working. Good thing my body mass index is still good even if I eat a lot. A lot means my meal can feed a family of four.

I know but if you have sinigang na tuna belly or crispy pata infront of you, how can you resist?! My weakness is fried dried fish and steamed sweet potato tops. Ooohhh lala mouth watering is all I can say.

Addiction can often be made light of...I am addicted to mylot or I am addicted to chocolate etc etc.
When someone has been really addicted to something they wouldn't find it funny in any way.

My addiction to sweets is not seasonal. In the summer I am less hungry than the winter and want to drink alot.
