She is Gone – It all Happened too Fast

Do you think anyone will answer your question negatively? It's good that you were together with your friend only recently and have such positive memories.

Maybe the birthday celebration was a nice good bye for her to have with all of those she cared about. I still miss my mom and grandmother.

Oh, my, Ann! I am so sorry! I will keep you in my thoughts... Yes, I have lost several of my childhood friends over the years and while I don't think about them all the time, they do pop up into my thoughts when something triggers them. SMH! Most people say time will heal the loss of our loved ones... It is my contention that "most people" are full of excrement when they say that, or else they didn't know or love anyone very much! There were two friends I was very close to who passed within days of each other... (their car was t-boned by a semi). I don't/won't drive past their old home, anymore. It always feels like they get in my car and stay with me for the rest of the day. (Thinking about them and remembering things we did together is always good, if I could stop thinking about them after a little while... It bothers me that they seem to insist on staying with me to "visit" for the rest of the day, though. *shrug!*) I also miss my mom all the time. I was not feeling well and running a fever a few days ago. Mom decided to visit me that night. She touched my head and said my fever was running at 104 (F).When Pretty checked early the next morning I was running 102 degrees (F). I remember telling mom that I was freezing... When I woke up the next morning, one of the decorative blankets we don't actually use as a blanket was covering me. (Pretty says I had to have gotten up and put it over me. I know I was dizzy and couldn't stand up, let alone walk into another room, dig in a closet and get a blanket out.)

My belated condolences. I miss many people and many fur kids, too. I believe their spirits remain with me, though. Again, I am sorry.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. Of course I do. I miss my mother, grandfather and aunt. But I'll cherish them forever.

That is one thing about life and destiny @poehere , you never know. At least you got to spend a very special day with her and it will be a life-long memory. I'm so sorry to hear about this.

Yes. I certainly do. My closest friend passed away a couple of years ago. I really miss her. I'm sorry for the loss of your friend.
