@realityspeaks gave this idea for a post so before I start... Thank you Ansel.. We adults use our gadgets laptops and other electronic devices because we need to. Paying bills, sending money, online jobs, searching for a job and the likes. Our kids use them for social media... Social media, games, social media... They are so glued to thise devices so much, it is now their life. How can you tell to someone to control the use of electronic devices when your also hooked in using them?

It is just a matter of self-control or being strict in using your time. Allot some time for family bonding by going out of the house and go to a place where your children can also enjoy.

@acelawrites well said. divert their attention would be the best way for them to forget in a brief moment their social media life.

Send your children to their grandparents as often as possible so that they can see that life without the (constant) use of e-gadgets is possible and also worth living.

Which means we need first to control ourselves in using these electronic devices before telling them to control their uses of these things. Or we can explain to them we are using this as our livelihood and necessity and not just for playing and pleasure.
