Can we all agree that being a parent is not the easiest thing in the world? Watching your little baby grow into an adult is one of the greatest things that you can experience in life, but also one of the saddest. As I have always put it, parenting is bittersweet. Most moments are taken for granted, and you appreciate them more after they've passed and new experiences happen. I believe that with time you become more aware of how fast time really does fly. I love watching my baby grow and develop, she has the most adorable personality for her age, and she's very smart! I know we would say, I can't wait for her to start crawling! When she started crawling I missed holding her all of the time. Then we would say I can't wait for her to start walking! Now we barely get any cuddle time because she's always so busy. I've learned to soak up every single moment with our daughter because you never get those moments back. Being a parent is more than a job, it's a beautiful opportunity that not a lot of people get to experience, and it's an amazing blessing being able to do it and find so much joy in it. I love my baby so much, and I know that there are going to be hard times down the road as she gets older but I hope that one day she can understand just how awesome it is to a parent and how much we really love her. She was our little miracle baby!

Even though my sons are grown and have families of their own I can still remember the joy I had of watching them grow. Things were always changing but I found those changes wonderful cause I knew this is what it would take for them to some day be on their own and independent. I still have my memories and that is what counts.

Exactly! That was very beautifully said. If there's one thing that I look forward to the most is all of the memories that this will bring.

Time does move along faster than we'd like it too at times @AnnaAutopsy We have to enjoy what we have while we have it!

I loved your post! I think I missed many moments with my daughters because I was too young to be able to realize all that. Fortunately I have had a second chance with my grandchildren.

What a wonderful post! I can feel the great love you have for that little one. And you are right, the older they get, the faster life goes by. Enjoy every single minute.

Well I can only hope that you are living a life that you are happy with, regardless of being a parent or not. We all deserve to be happy.

Such wisdom you possess. This is exactly my feelings on parenting. Now that I also have grandbabies, I realize that God sends grandbabies to sooth the pain of the babies growing up and moving out. While I get depressed over them no longer being with me all the time, I am also extremely proud of the adults they have become. Bittersweet is the perfect description.

I wish there was a "love" option for this comment! That is just awesome. Theres nothing better than being able to spend time with your babies baby. I can't even imagine how great of an experience that is, but I will soon find out once our little peanut grows up and moves on. Our kids, no matter what age, will always be our babies.
