Birds, Squirrels. And Wading the Creek

The sun was out today and I went for my walk at the park. It was crowded The parking lots are large and they were full. We were lucky to get a parking place. All the picnic tables were taken and all cooking pits were smoking. People were wading in the creek. My better half brought the book he was reading and found a shady bench to wait for me. In spite of the crowd I only met one man walking his two dogs.on the trail. It was nice and shady as I went up and down hills but I was sweaty before I got back to the park. On the trail I saw red birds , robins, chipmunks and squirrels. I saw a crow and a chicken Hawk flying above the tree tops. I loved my peaceful walk. Hope you had an enjoyable day too.

Since I'm retired I can usually make my day what I want but a working woman can't do that. I remember from my working days.

And walking is good for us, both mentally and physically. I like to go every other day but I can't always due to the weather.

I hope you will when you feel better. I had surgery last fall and I wasn't able to walk for awhile.

Your walk sounds like something I'd enjoy. Its been a quiet day though we did go to the farmer's market bright and early then went to a baby shower later.

@RubyHawk Actually we did get in a little walk cause we walked down our access road and then over to the folks who had the baby shower- about half a mile by the time we got to our house again. Plus the jaunt in the farmer's market.

You can't have too many. We have several nice parks but this one is best for my better half to find a nice shady bench since he has trouble walking.
