Day 7 of 30

It's a very good thing I got rid of all the food that is not good for this Whole30 diet. So I know how I'm going to lose weight on this diet. I made it through the first week in good shape. However, this morning I'm really hungry, and doing all I can not to eat everything left in the fridge. I'll be making lunch soon. I have plenty fish in the freezer. I'll have that with either zucchini or summer squash. That should hold me over until supper - I hope. I finished off a large container of blueberries - at least half of it, had a kiwi, and eggs for breakfast. There is a church picnic on Sunday. I'm not going. I'm not going to be tempted with all the delicious looking potato and pasta salads and great deserts. I mentioned this diet to the gal in the office on Saturday, and she told me it's a great diet. It really is. It's common sense is what it is. Now all I need to do is make it through this week, and I should be doing good. I'm on day 7 of 30.

And you will not weigh in til day 30 right? I am glad it is going good for you Valerie. Its great that the lady in the office also vouched for it.

Hold on Valerie and don't fall off the wagon. It's not easy doing any diet but I applaud you for your efforts. I'm sure on day 30 you will be giving us great results and we'll be cheering you for your success

I'm not going to fall off this wagon. I might get hungry, had a good breakfast, but I have a bowl of mixed fruit thawing to fill the rest of the hole. I'm not missing any of the other food, though now and then I wish I could have cheese, but that is totally off limits. I'm not even missing milk, so I think I'll be okay. Just don't let me near any cheese. My mind might know better, but my hands will do the unthinkable.

Where did you learn about this diet? Is there a place we can look at it. I like the sound of common sense. I think you are smart to avoid temptation. We need to be able to fellowship without always eating indulgently.

I always tell myself I can do anything for a day. Then I tell myself I can do anything for a week. It's when I start looking far down the line I mess myself up. I don't blame you for not attending the picnic. Sometimes we have to take drastic measures to avoid temptation.

Yes we do. I know there will be people asking me if I'm going on Sunday and will do their best to talk me into going, but I'm going to stand my ground and watch these resistant pounds come off.

Well I'm glad to hear your doing well on the diet. You could still go as i'm sure there will be plenty of fruit and stuff but maybe not ? Hope you continue to do well on this diet.

I'm sure most of the fruit will be in some kind of salads involving cool whip not on my diet. I hope I'm doing well. The scale will tell me next month.

My trick to avoid eating bad for me things is to pretend that someone sneezed on the food, spit on it, lol, had dirty hands or a dirty kitchen, etc.... Works every time. Keep up the good work! I lost three pounds since my dress fitting as of this morning, and I am not dieting.
