What are you having for lunch on this beautiful Thursday?

I'm sitting here sipping coffee and working on progress notes. Because I'm "in the zone" with my progress notes, I haven't really stopped to make breakfast. I've just been "grazing" on slices of lox and slices on banana. When lunch time rolls around, I'd better get serious. On Tuesday, I treated myself to Japanese food for lunch. Yesterday, it was a small sandwich at the post-funeral reception. Today, it will probably either be a burrito or left over Tom Kha Gai. Given that I can hear my tummy grumbling, I think I may opt for the burrito. What are you having for lunch today? Do you make (or fetch) a bigger lunch when you only graze for breakfast?

Since I am off today I sleep till 10 am and I am not having breakfast is 2 scrambled eggs and a sliced red delicious apple. I am not that in love with eggs but it was fast. I had a late lunch yesterday and ate at a new Chinese restaurant, the food was not that good either. but I skipped dinner so I grazed last night.

Sorry the Chinese was not so good. Do you have another place you can trust?

@TheHorse The old place has changed cooks so that is why I am in search for my new Chinese place. Yes there are a couple more around I will try.

We always have a very light breakfast, this is the local habit. For lunch we had a grilled cheese with salad.

@TheHorse My grilled cheese is not at all the same you make in the United States, it's not on a toast or inside a sandwich. Here is a photo, it's goat cheese.

@LadyDuck What's it on? It looks lovely? I like the presentation. Is there dressing on the lettuce?

I prepared drumstick curry and egg curry for dad...and we do have yesterday's leftovers..beans with carrots and bottle gourd stew. So I guess I am comfortable for the day. :)

@TheHorse Is it possible? LOL. Anyway..I am a very ordinary cook. lol. Somehow it still seems to meet approval of my aunt and my dad..but sometimes I suspect they simply have no choice so they are kinda adjusting. lol

@vandana7 I bet your curries are good. I smell so many different curries around here. I think my many Indian neighbors come from all over India.

That would leave me hungry. Unless I dumped tuna, beans, corn, and hearts of palm on it. Oh, and oodles of blue cheese dressing.

I eat several small meals during the course of a day, it helps me with my diabetes. Most of my meals involve veggies.

I'm afraid I am having a protein bar that has 30 grams of protein. Unless I fast or go out to eat this is what I eat every day. Sometimes chocolate peanut butter or just peanut butter. It's the protein I'm after, but I'm not so sure that they are really healthy for me or not. Your choices sound far greater than mine. I've never had Japanese food. I have had Chinese food though and love a chicken dish its breaded and in a sauce and its very popular but I can't for the life of me think what its called.

Sounds like life is getting in the way of serious food. I hope you had a good lunch yesterday. For me, I had a simple zucchini, tomato, and onion dish. Right now I'm finishing up my breakfast - scrambled eggs - it was supposed to be an omelet with tomato and onion. It didn't work out that way, so it's all mixed together. Still tastes good.
