So it's Friday and it still feels good!

Even though I have been (mostly) retired for several years now, Friday still seems different. I suppose it is an habitual response after working for so many years. Friday was special, even if I was going to work overtime for a few hours on Saturday. It was the last day of the work week (unless you worked in retail which I have done too.) Friday was sometimes like a big sigh of relief with two days off to rest or do yard work or just be home with your family. I still feel different on Friday, a bit lighter, a little brighter. Are Fridays different for you than other week days?

There's nothing special about Friday being retired now except a feeling of where did the week go? It went by fast.

Fridays used to be fun cuz wed get my nieces and nephews for the weekends, but problems started between their dad (my uncle) and their mom plus she got a controlling bf who didnt want my uncles family around "his" kids. So now theyre boring ans make me sad

Sorry to hear that! Family problems always mess things up when they arise.

I get excited on Fridays because I know church will be here soon, and that's my favorite place to be! =)

Yes I know what you mean James. Since I always worked Saturday and Sunday anyway, Friday was just another day to make money.. I do so treasure Sundays off now.

I had that experience as well, six days a week in retail (women's shoes) in my 20s, grocery stores earlier.

It is sort of strange, since every day is a no work (for money at least) day.

I feel the way you do - lighter and brighter. Now if only my internet would behave.

I think these days I am feeling a little different when it is Friday.May be it is because my grandsons come to visit on some Saturdays.

Its a relief to know that the 5:30 alarm will not go off tomorrow morning and I won't have to drive early. Sleeping in is a bit hard around here due to the fur kids.

I'm sure many who have worked Monday to Friday jobs feel exactly as you. I do, too, but being retired makes every day feel like Friday to me. lol

True, but that "Friday" feeling still washes over me each week anyway, oddly.
