Our day had a detour

The plan was: Hubby would work on cars, I would go to to the herb class. After a quick lunch, we would go to shop in the town half an hour away. On our way there we were going to stop at a lake to get our Lifetime National Park Passes for Seniors. Until the end of August they are just ten dollars each.
At the lake office, which was near the town where we were going to Wal Mart and Dillons, they said, "Sorry, you have to go to the Great Plains Nature Center, in Wichita. That is a Federal pass you want to buy." Then told us how to get there.
It was a fun and relaxing afternoon to tour a beautiful facility while we were there. My image is of a panoramic painting, with a taxidermy mounted coyote in the foreground.
While we were in Wichita, we went to Sam's Club, then ate at Arby's. Then back to Eldorado for grocery shopping with coupons. Then home, nearly bed time and I had to put all the cold stuff away.
I did want to check in here and now I have more interesting things to post about. Yay!

Depending on the part, a little under an hour. This is on the east side of the city.

There is a large processing fee if you get it online. I do not remember how much.

@GardenGerty Oh, I had no idea since I don't need one. I would go to our Nat Park today but the crowds are crazy today - they showed traffic heading in at 6 am and it was bumper to bumper.

This one is the closest and it is about an hour away. So since we were in the area we picked up the things we really needed.
