What's the big deal for having chicken in the table today? Well you see since the bird's flu scare explode in our country I haven't serve chicken meat in the meal. No fried chicken, chicken curry, adobo and tinola because of this virus that really affected the poultry industry and its economy. But now I would like to inform everybody that I just had fried chicken for my lunch. Thanks to a party I attended. Of course I enjoyed the fried chicken. No scare of the flu. I heard our provincial governor will lead a boodlefight serving only chicken dishes as show of support to chicken industry and tell the people that chicken meat in our place is safe. What chicken do you like most?

Until now, I don't allow chicken on the table yet. Even if the authorities said that we are far from the place where there is an outbreak.

We are living in Ilocos Sur and just far enough to be safe to bird's flu. Awhile ago I interviewed a chicken vendor and said the poultry meat they sell came from local producers and nearby province. There was also a strict implementation of quarantine check-up of all meat especially poultry.

Fried and grilled chicken for me plus chicken curry. Although, I won;t be having chicken or any poultry products anytime soon until the bird flu scare has been cleared by a competent independent body.

when i and my son went to the city proper this morning, we had brunch at Jollibee, and i ordered my favorite, spicy chicken joy. no, i don't think our place is affected with the bird flu virus. i think too that it is already contained.

@ilocosboy i believe we must buy chicken from stores if the ones sold along the sidewalks are not checked by the department of animal industry.

You're not afraid of the bird flu? I'm going to buy ingredients now for the veggie soup. But instead I still ate chicken sinigang for lunch this afternoon.

The strict implementation is being observed in the quarantine checkpoint so it will not reach our province because there was no other road leading to our place. The supply in our province came from local raisers and from Ilocos Norte. Pampanga and its neighboring provinces are far enough their chicken meat to reach here.
