Finally Making the Move

Hi, I haven't been on for a very long time. I needed time to sort my sons death last year and get ready for what was to come.
My health has gotten worse in Colorado so I am told I need to move to sea level. What better place to be then Texas, not that I care a whole lot for the humidity and heat there, but it is where my grand children are.
Since my son passed his wife is having trouble taking care of the three kids alone. We are now in the process of packing up my house of 28 yrs, getting ready to put it on the market for sale and purchasing a home in Texas. We are looking at a home that is about 3 blks from the kids and my daughter in law. They are all so happy that we are finally coming to be by them and so are we.
This is such a big move for me and has been very stressful, but I am looking forward to helping raise my grand kids and being a part of their lives so they never forget their daddy and what a wonderful man he was.
Wish me luck, I'm gonna need it.

Oh Cindy, I am so verry sorry to hear about your son. I know it's hard leaving your home, but I know it will be good to be able to be closer to the kids. You're in my prayers.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I think it's the most difficult thing a parent can ever go through, losing a child. But your future seems bright, with your move to a healthier climate and being near the grandkids. And THREE of them! It sounds like you'll be busy for a long time after you get there. You have a lot to do now as well. I understand how stressful this all must be. I hope you have friends and/or family around to help you out. It's a very big undertaking. I sure do wish you all the luck in the world. Be strong. And, again, good luck.

I'm just glad we are as close as we are with their mom, it makes things so much easier to help them and be close to them all. She is just like a daughter to me as she and my son were together since junior high school.

I wasn't here last year, so first I want to say that I'm sorry for your loss. And, I hope you find a nice place, and enjoy all these next years with your grandchildren.
