Hairy skin!

We all believe it is normal for men to have a hairy skin but what about for women? Hairy skin on women is mostly caused by hormonal imbalance. It could be so depressing when you have excess hair on your legs, arms, thighs and even facial hair. Spending hours shaving your skin and ending up cutting yourself is really not in the "to do list' for women. Hiding under layers of clothes like trousers, long sleeved shirts, sweaters, jackets and not being able to wear your favorite short dress is really a tough obligation. I understand that it is difficult to accept this state but we still have to try. Adding a shaving cream or women's razor in your shopping list and trying to shave once a week will finally get you into that short dress you have always wanted to wear. Having hair on your skin is natural and I hope critics will realize this.

Back in time women weren't forced to shave, we were just a curvier version of man. Unfortunately times changed and yeah, gotta shave.

@FayeHazel Way back in time, the Ancient Romans did that, especially the wealthy class. But it was probably common in Ancient Egypt too, they used honey.

@sabtraversa Ah. Was it like a status thing? Honey just sounds like a sticky mess. I'm afraid it wouldn't do much on me. lol

Could be a genetic or hormonal imbalance. Try waxing. I think these days people go for permanent hair removal. Men (some) and women both.

It's genetics in my case, I come from a family of furry people. I wax some parts of my body but I prefer shaving when it comes to the lower part of my body, it's fast and I do that while having a shower. Permanent removal is a big investment.

Hello i am a little hairy on my arms and legs but not that super hairy. I also have hairy brows. Waxing may help clean hairy areas but you need to deal with the sting though

Are there any medical cases related to having excess hair on the body or it is 100% normal?

@mildredtabitha I believe there are, some are genetics but some are disorders

@mildredtabitha Poly-cystic ovary syndrome is a common cause of excess hair, but you have thick hair on the face, chin, neck, abdomen and other areas where hair usually doesn't grow.

Ah yes, it is uncomfortable state, but I think most mature adults realize that hair is natural - and some people just have more than others.

Removing hair using shaving cream or razor doesn't really leave your skin looking great nor the hair growing well after because it would look courser and thicker than before. I think it's better if you do waxing because your skin would look cleaner and the hair would grow thinner. Hormonal imbalance can be fixed with the proper medicine though.
