Dazzling Dahlias .. & Poetry too ....

I love flowers,  as most of you know,  they feature in my photos a lot, but my favourites,  are Dahlias & Daisy's ...  I love them all,  in all their various forms and colours.  My Dad is a good gardener, and grows really lovely Dahlias, so I love visiting his garden. The other day while out and about visiting a local stately home, and its gardens... with my camera, of course ...,   I was delighted to see a whole area given over to Dahlias... yyeeyyyy I was ssooo happy and took lots  and lots of photos as they had a couple of colours, and varieties my Dad has not got... I am no good at gardening..., but,  seeing nature in all it's glory and splendours  and photographing it... takes me to a ' happy place' . I even found several poems,  that mention Dahlias, my favourite is by patience strong... and best describes how I feel... it's  called Public Gardens..., Along the High Street people flock, a seething human stream, And just a few steps from it all, I sit alone and dream. Tall, shaggy-headed Dahlias look down into my face, As I drink in the beauty, of this quiet and lovely place... There is more ...  but it's  a bit long to share it all here...
