Do men value gifts the same way that women do?

I know how important gifts are to women. We tend to put more importance on the nice things we receive from our partners because it makes us feel that we are cared for. I don't know if men put any importance to gifts or if they see it as a girly thing.

Every human being, I believe, value gifts that are given to them. Whether one is a male or a female, if they receive a gift from someone and it is a special gift, of course they will put importance to it. Take care of it, treat it well, save it. Plus, as a boy, the gifts given to me by people I love, I treasure them all. So, yeah, men do put importance to nice things they receive, especially from their partners.

@GopherDanny Wow! nice response. You are right. I guess the way of reacting is different. A woman could scream after receiving a nice a gift while a man will just stay calm.

@mildredtabitha Ah yes, the reaction is what differs. Sometimes, when men get gifts, even if they are so happy inside, they don't really show it much. (haha) We do not scream 'Ayeee' when we get something sweet. But we show it though, such as giving a kiss or a hug, saying thanks sweetly, you know what I mean. But the most important thing is that we put value to every special gift we receive no matter what gender we are, and it also varies from person to person.

@GopherDanny noted. I have now understood your point completely and I will be checking out those small expressions after giving a gift to a man. :)

I personally think instead of a male or female reaction it is person reaction. It depends on the person and if they don't mind showing their feelings. I have a female friend that acts like you would think I man would, she is very caring, just isn't one to show it. Yet my husband will react to a nice present no matter who is around. I mean he doesn't squeal or anything but you can tell by the smile and hug that he is very happy.

@Ithink that's nice to know. I think reactions are good because they help us know if we made someone happy or not.

I think men get just as excited with a gift as men do.

I think it is better to ask them what they want before giving it to them
