Do we have saints on earth

August 31, 2017 8:49am CST
I hear a lot of times about saints inheriting the earth and in the same vain we have in the Bible that there's no righteous man on earth. Can I be a bit educated, who are the saints. Is it our pastors and Ministers and when the inherit the earth would they get to heaven also?

I think the term saints is used loosely today, but not in the true meaning of a saint. No one who's still alive on this earth is without sin, so we can't technically be saints. The Bible sometimes refers to people still living as saints, but I think that means those who have professed a belief in Jesus Christ as the living Son of God.

@augusta123 Well, they're referred to as that sometimes in the Bible, but I don't believe even the very best of anyone on earth is a true "saint."

According to me some ordinary people are more saintly than those who profess to be so - siva

@augusta123 The term "saint" has different connotation according to our beliefs. Personally, I don't think anyone can be elevated to such a level though their lives may be way out of the ordinary - siva

@Shiva49 yea,I don't think we can be elevated to this level,so when there's a talk about the saints, I really wonder who we are referring to.
