Good bye Mango Tree

Tree, mango, fruit

I hope no one get's offended by the post. For a while now we've been planning to get rid of this tree. Before we had our commercial space, we had two Narra tree cut down and discovered how the roots destroyed our front wall. Then last we've tried to negotiated with some one that would cut our tree, we paid installment after installment but no avail, he didn't do it anyways. Until Today our Village officer recommended some one he knows. Though her price is a bit high, they did it fast. I am sad though because if we kill this tree, no more free mango every summer. It had to go because it got so big that it destroyed our flooring and cause a crack on the wall. Not to mention infested with lots of ants. They took out the leaves first and soon poisoned it to death. Farewell to our backyard tree of more than 30 yrs. Photo credits to me.

From what you've written it was either you or the tree. Tough decisions have to be made sometimes.

Hello @Kandae11 You're right it was a tough decision. But it has to go, or our house gets destroyed.

Tough decision, but probably it was a safety concern. Why don't you plant two trees right away in a safe spot so that you feel good about it.

Hello @pitstop There are no safe spot here, it's a growing city. Almost every Farm I've seen had been replaced with houses over houses.

So it's a backyard tree. So they need to take the leaves first then poison the tree with a chemical? It's better to clear your backyard if it's causing trouble in your house

Hello @averygirl72 They haven't done the poisoning yet, it's even devastating to even hearing that. But yes, it has caused trouble to our house and probably our neighbors.
