I Just felt like I needed to do something!!

Ever since Hurricane Harvey has paid us an un welcome visit. And it's all over the TV. Harvey has effected me in a way I have not thought of before. When I look at the news. Like everyone else, I see so much devastation. What tears me up the most. I see so much love being given. So much love and heart felt concern for one another. I just wanted to jump through the TV and help out. But, I couldn't! So I started praying. I prayed for the people who are in this situation. I prayed for the rescuers. I prayed that our President makes the right decisions with this on. I prayed for the future of Texas and how wonderful it's going to be. And then I asked myself. Why does it always take something like this for us to realize we need each other? We are our brother's keeper. Turn on the news and see. Brother looking out for brother. Sister looking out for sister and everyone is looking out for the kids and animals. No color seen here. No hate. Just pure love. We are all God's children. He made each and everyone of us in His own image. And for those who don't know. GOD IS LOVE! As humans. This is what we do!! It's in our DNA. It's so amazing to see this. That's the spirit of America at it's best. In a strange way It's a beautiful thing. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could act like this everyday? After I got through praying. I gave!
