Years ago I made a Raggedy Ann or Andy for each of my babies as I was carrying them. Along the way I ended up having three girls plus one that I lost.
The one you see here in the image was the one I made for the little girl that I lost. She is 43 years old now and I think it is time for her to be able to enjoy the loving hugs of a little girl.
She has been stored away and kept in perfect condition waiting for that little girl to come into her life.
My oldest daughter had her baby in June and I think she is the perfect little girl for this particular doll.
My daughter had been trying to have a baby for many years and was finally blessed with one. Annabelle will be receiving Raggedy Ann when they come to visit in September.
She will be going to a good home.

Oh, what a wonderful, but heartbreaking story. I'm sure your daughter will cherish the doll that her mom made and was for a baby sister that she never knew. Your little granddaughter will have many enjoyable moments with her adorable Raggedy Ann. Take lots of photos of them!

@HazySue At my daughter's first birthday party, she was holding her little Raggedy Ann in pictures. Years later I cut the dress I had made for her party down to fit a cloth doll I made to look like her. The doll is also wearing my daughter's shoes and baby ring. Unfortunately, I didn't still have the doll, but a friend gave me one that she had when her daughter was small. I posted a discussion with pictures, so you may have already seen this doll.

Okay, first I just have to say that I love your grandaughters name, and that your daughter finally had the baby shes been trying for. and I have a raggedy ann myself from when i was little, though it was bought and not made by family..
But being a person who watched the conjuring movies.. and the doll in it was annabell, but it was supposedly based off of a raggedy ann doll.. the last paragraph freaked me out a bit lol

@HazelSue Oh, I think Annabelle will love her new doll! We just had a new baby added into our family, her name is Isabella:) I love the old fashioned names, they're using for baby names!

I am sure there is going to be a very happy little girl when she gets this. I thought at first don't get rid of this it could be worth some money then I saw you made it . If you did not say that you would not have known. It is very nice have you thought of making a Andy and Ann doll and sell them? I think they would go over well.

Aww...I'm sure Annabelle will love her. :) I had a large Raggedy Ann when I was a little girl.
Sounds like this doll is extra special.
