Do you prefer to work in silence or with some noise?

I'm currently working on a bunch of stuff right now while having some Let's Play videos from YouTube playing on our TV. I don't know why, but there are certain tasks that I can't seem to perform without some kind of noise in the background. Usually menial ones like cleaning up my desk or deleting e-mails and stuff. But when I'm doing tasks that require more focus, like writing for school, I need silence or at least some instrumental music (no lyrics!) so I can stay focused on the task. How about you? Do you like to work in a quiet place, or do you need a certain degree of noise?

as for me i like to work at quiet place , that is when i can be able concentrate on what i am doing, working at noisy place makes me to be thinking of what is going on that place and i wont concentrate on my work any more.

I prefer to work in a quiet place. Noise tends to throw off my concentration quite a bit. When there is noise, it's impossible to focus on my task and I'm focused more on the noise.

While doing mylot sometimes I'm already bored I find I can mylot more if the TV is open. But mostly I want silence

For me I want a place where can I work properly is in quiet place, because it helps me a lot to think positive all the time.

I used to be able to work with background noise, but in middle school, I started having trouble concentrating on my work. I was diagnosed with ADHD last year. So I'd say in silence.

As you, it depends on the work I have to realise. Some requires absolutly silence to avoid distruction. In other Jobs, I don't mind to have some music or other soft noise in the background.

There are moments when I prefer to work in silence, but sometimes I think that listening to music while you are working could be fun :)

It depends on what I am working on. If what I am doing requires concentration then I prefer to work in silence however if I need to concentrate then it's ok if there is noise.

I do like having some noise in the background when I do things. I find that it helps me. Not too sure. Maybe it's because it's what I'm used and it helps.

I guess it depends on what I am working on. Right now I am My Lot so have the TV on and am looking over at that and typing away. There are times when I need to concentrate on something and would like music going through my ears and quiet altogether.

Working in a quite environment sometimes give me freak thoughts. That is why I always play music. But I'd rather hear a certain amount of noise.

I like a not so quiet environment. If it gets too quiet I start thinking too much. If it gets noisy, I have a headache So I like it quiet and the only sound is of some soft rock song I like or when I'm talking to someone with no one else around.
