Yeaterday I went to a private dentist to do a scaling on my teeth. My last visit was one and a half year ago which accumulated a lot of tartars in between the teeth gaps. However, after the scaling job was done, she showed me two if my teeth were shaking badly which previously were still intact to my gums. I was sure those two teeth were firm and healthy. Sure was persistent that the teeth has to extracted because will spread disease to other healthy teeth. What I wanted to know is dentist allowed to extract two teeth in a day? Does scaling loosen healthy teeth? Any advice or experience appreciated

Only tooth with hopeless prognosis will be removed, ask your dentist if there is any other way to save the teeth, if not then go for extraction

dentist said that since the numbing is still on, might as well extract both to cut down the pain

@peachpurple If the teeth can not be saved by any other means then go for extraction, not because numbness is still there

I think two teeth in a day is no problem. I am also trying to schedule a simple surgery for my wisdom tooth. It hurts from time to time because it is impacted. It push the other teeth and the pain is getting worse.

As long as you can endure it, it's ok to extract more than one tooth. My housemaid had three teeth extracted in a day and she was ok. I never experienced scaling at all so I have no idea.
