I really hate taking them because they tasted awfully bitter and hard to swallow even with water.
I had to take two anti biotic pills for every 8 hours since i had two teeth extracted two days ago. Dentist instructed me to finish them fir 5 days course but with 30 pills??
Do you take them when the doctor said you have to?

Yes because it means you have an infection.

If I went under some sort of surgery, I would take antibiotics.
Otherwise, I try to avoid them. The idea of spoiling my immune system (makes it lazy) and intestinal flora with antibiotics doesn't sound appealing to me, so it isn't something I like to take.
The suggested quantities often sound crazy, I know.

There are times when such things are needed, especially if you are trying to avoid an infected following such a procedure.
