Later this morning I will be having my second venous ablation procedure performed, after having my right leg done last Tuesday. I am a bit more anxious now knowing what to expect pain-wise and also recovery-wise. It is not going to be easy getting around with both of my legs affected. And I am NOT looking forward to going another three days without being able to shower. Last week once I got through the first 72 hours, it didn't seem so bad, but now I have to get through those first three days again. It has been a pain trying to keep my entire leg wrapped, as the ace bandage keeps slipping down my thigh and my thigh-high compression stockings keep rolling down below the area the vein specialist worked on. I am not looking forward to trying to keep both legs wrapped properly. But, on the plus side, only one more week of this nonsense and then I can stop focusing on the right leg. I might still have to wear compression stockings for a bit but all the other restrictions are only for two weeks. I can't wait until September 19th, when I will be able to put all this behind me and get back to living my normal life. This popping up and down every half hour is tiresome. It's not so bad now that I've gotten used to it, but it's not something I enjoy either. I sure hope my legs start feeling better afterwards because right now I am sore and I don't see any improvement.
