*It is my best friend’s birthday today but…

I am not going to greet her on Facebook. Maybe you will ask why. It is because she seldom opens her account and she is always busy with her family. Yesterday was the wedding anniversary of my parents but we did not go to church to attend the mass commemorating the anniversary. The issue is the rain and the duty I have. My sister is not feeling well too, so we just prayed for the eternal repose of my parents. If you were me, should you still greet your best friend in a social medium even though you know she is not so active there and rarely responds to greetings?

Why don't you call her if you want to be sure to reach her?

it is good if she has her permanent mobile number; she constantly changes her number but i still messaged her in her Fb wall.

I would message her directly so she would have the option if she wants to respond to the greeting.

nice if her sim number is permanent in her phone; she changes whenever she likes so it is impossible for me to call or text her.

@ridingbet sometimes I cannot understand people who do that, I have had the same post paid number since I learned to use a cell phone, same as our land line, you lose friends and business contacts when you do that.

yes if she did not yet change her number, my friend. she called me up about 4 months ago but her number was unknown to me, so i asked the caller who she was. when she replied, "sis, this is me", and i was with my oldest sister, i knew that was her new number.

No, I usually send personal messages to my best friends, no reason to use a social media.

@ridingbet So it seems that she log into her FB account after all. I have the same mobile numbers from 18 years now.

i love to do that but she constantly changes her mobile numbers. for me, the 2 numbers have been mine for more than 10 years now, the other one is 3 years, and i intend to keep them that way. i still greeted her on FB and she responded after 4 hours.

Well..I will not bother to greet my friend there since she don`t open it anymore, I will send or left a birthday card at her home mail box and send her a text message like "Hi There birthday girl, can you give sometime to check your mailbox later after your busy days work?"

that is a nice piece of advice. snail mails are good with post cards, but my problem too is, i do not know her latest address in the capital city because she lives with her daughter's family now.

I think I would either send a card by post or email if she checks it or call her. I am not a fan of talking to my best friend on Facebook. I feel it is too public for really close relationships.
